We offer gift cards for purchase in-person and online at our Indiana location only. If you choose to pick up a physical gift card, please call in to make sure someone will be there to assist you. Our administrative hours are 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday. Stylists may be at the salon later, but they do work by appointment only.

For virtual gift cards: Please select the "Book Now" button at the top of the screen, and select the Crown Point location. From there, you can select "Purchase a Gift Card" to walk through the steps. You can schedule the gift card to be sent now, or even at a later date!
Gift Cards at Crown Point
At our Indiana salon, base pricing for services is a collaboration between the salon and the artist to ensure a fair wage. Prices vary based on continued education, schedule demand, and the cost of living in our local area.

Prices will also vary per appointment based on: Length and thickness of the hair, how much product is used, and how much time is needed for the service.

For starting prices, please select the 'Services' photo at the top of the page. If you would like more specific pricing for your hair, we recommend scheduling a Consultation with the stylist of your choice. All hair services are customized to you!

General Pricing Information
When booking an appointment over the phone or online, a credit card is required to reserve your date and time. Your card will not be charged at the time of booking.

At our Indiana location, we have a standard policy: Cancellations within 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment will be charged 50% of the service price. The cancellation fee is charged to the credit card on file. It is non-refundable, and cannot be applied to a future appointment. If the card on file is unable to be charged (insufficient funds, cancelled card, etc.), the stylist may choose not to book you for any future appointments, and your online booking privilege may be revoked.

It is the client's responsibility to communicate if they are unable to make the appointment. Feel free to call the salon, email us, or reach out to your stylist directly.

Please Note: Administrative Staff work different hours from the stylists, and they do not work Saturday through Monday. If you cannot reach us to cancel in time, please refer to your stylist's contact information on the website. You may also manage your appointments here. Responding to your confirmation email/text does not automatically cancel your appointment in our booking system.
Cancellation Policy
At our Indiana salon, all of our stylists use the Evo range of permanent, demi-permanent, vivid hair color, and lighteners. All the products are ammonia-free, PDD-free, and resorcinol-free. They are also packed with organic oils, plant-derived glycerin, and allergen-free fragrance. We take the integrity of your hair and scalp very seriously, and wouldn't use anything on you that we don't love using on ourselves!

Forrest
Owner/Founding Father
Forrest started building the foundation of The Young American Salon in 2012, while cutting hair in his parent's backyard. Eventually, more space was needed to completely fulfill his vision. So after finding our first spot and putting in a lot of work with his dad Paul, The Young American opened its doors in February of 2014 in Old Town Tustin. Since then, three more locations have been opened, and have been home to many talented stylists and staff members over the years. Forrest now lives in Crown Point, and you'll probably see him buzzing around the Indiana location. Say hi if you see him!
Julia
Executive Manager
Julia has been with The Young American since December 2016, and has done a little bit of everything - answering the phones, spreadsheets, purchase orders, tech support, and organizing education for the stylists. She even designs our website! We lovingly refer to her as the Salon Wizard because of that. She started in California, and now lives in Oregon with her husband. Somehow she still oversees everything remotely, we think it's her wizard powers. 🧙🏻‍♂️
Ashley
Social Media Manager
Ashley has been with us since November 2017 and has quickly morphed into the most talented of all of us at Social Media (Julia and Forrest both hate it, but Ashley is great at it). She's on top of everything from posting content, Instagram DMs, helping us run specials for clients and contests for the stylists... She's awesome. If you ever DM us, she's the one that will answer!
