Cancellation Policies

Thank you for checking out The Young American! Here is the standard information for the cancellation policies at our salons.

 

California and Indiana are set up a little differently, and have differing policies. We hope you understand that these are in place to allow the stylists maximum notice to fill any cancelled appointment slots.

  • When booking an appointment over the phone or online, a credit card is required to reserve your date and time. Your card will not be charged at the time of booking.

     

    At our Indiana location, we have a standard policy: Cancellations within 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment will be charged 50% of the service price. The cancellation fee is charged to the credit card on file. It is non-refundable, and cannot be applied to a future appointment. If the card on file is unable to be charged (insufficient funds, cancelled card, etc.), the stylist may choose not to book you for any future appointments, and your online booking privilege may be revoked.

    It is the client's responsibility to communicate if they are unable to make the appointment. Feel free to call the salon, email us, or reach out to your stylist directly.

    Please Note: Administrative Staff work different hours from the stylists, and they do not work Saturday through Monday. If you cannot reach us to cancel in time, please refer to your stylist's contact information on the website. You may also manage your appointments here. Responding to your confirmation email/text does not automatically cancel your appointment in our booking system.
